How do I register a coordination number or an employee who has not yet received a coordination number/personal identity number?

A coordination number (samordningsnummer) is an identification number for individuals who are not, and have not previously been, registered in the Swedish Population Register. Its purpose is to enable authorities and other public bodies to identify individuals even if they are not officially resident in Sweden. In HRM Payroll, coordination numbers are used, for example, when submitting PAYE tax returns (AGI).

To register a coordination number, the nationality must be set to Swedish on the Personal Details tab.

Enter the coordination number in the Personal Identity Number field on the Personal Details tab.

If a coordination number or Swedish personal identity number is missing, leave the Personal Identity Number field blank. Instead, enter the birth date alongside the values in the Place of Birth and Country Code of Birth fields on the Tax tab in the employment register.
