How do account code combinations work?

Account code combinations in Flex HRM are a tool that helps you control how different account codes can be combined in time reports and travel expense claims. This is useful when you want to restrict which options can be selected together.

An example is if a project can only be combined with three specific articles. Instead of having to search through the entire article registry, after selecting the project you will only be offered the three permitted articles as proposals.

When you register in the system you will only be able to select approved combinations. If you try to save a combination that is not allowed, you will receive a warning. You also cannot audit time reports or travel expense claims that contain invalid combinations.

In some cases, account codes can be retrieved automatically from various settings in the system, which may result in prohibited account code combinations being added to your time report or travel expense claim. If this happens, you will get a warning when you attempt to save, and you cannot audit your time report/travel expense claim until you have corrected it.
